Both the greek words πείρα (peira) and εμπειρία (empeiria) mean experience, the type of experience which comes from practical, self-learned experience. mPeira is a play on both of these words, where we in terms of pronounciation find both the whole of ”peira” and about half of ”empeiria”.
We believe in the importance of teaching and using knowledge which has resulted from practical experience. Ideas and ”buzzwords” might be fine but the important thing is to understand what is practically useful in practice, which is the reason why we were attracted to these words.
When knowledge, and even art, originated in Greece it has felt natural for us to search for our name in that language. Knowledge is important and is an important partner to practical experience.
To get teams and organisations to work really well is an art which demands the same feeling as to create a wonderful piece of art. We never cease to be amazed over how well things can work out in our clients organisations. What is needed is people who work together in a focussed manner and mix knowledge, practical experience and a feeling of how things should be (the art).
